CORROSION RESISTANT PUMPS

THE MAG-DRIVE PUMPS

HOW MAG DRIVE PUMPS WORK

Magnetic drive pumps are driven by a pair of opposed magnets: the magnetic field developed between the external magnet (motor) and the internal magnet (impeller) transfers the torque moving the fluid. So, there are two separate drive shafts: the motor shaft does not extend inside the pump body so there is no need for any rotating shaft seal (the magnetic coupling provides the pump-motor connection).

 

ATEX CERTIFIED (OPTIONAL)

ATEX industrial pumps for potentially explosive atmospheres. Savino Barbera ATEX chemical pumps are also suitable to be used in ZONE 1 and ZONE 2 classified areas and include metallic pumps (AISI 316) and thermoplastic pumps (PP/PVDF).

CLEAN LIQUIDS

Magnetically-sealed chemical pumps feature thermoplastic coating and closed impellers making them ideal for clean liquids with no suspended particles only (especially if metallic).

PLASTIC OR METAL

Mag drive chemical pumps are manufactured from nonmetallic wetted parts which allows for the pumping of acids and corrosives. Whereas metal magnetic drive pumps series can handle further hazardous fluids such as hydrocarbons and solvents.
